My story begins with being raised by my parents (Carey & Karen Cooper) in a middle class home in the city of South Connellsville. I also spent a lot of time at my grandparents (Gloria & Tony Richter) (Ken & Bernise Cooper).I attended Connellsville Area school district from k-12 where I also graduated and received my diploma. As a kid I played baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. I was also a Boy Scout. Sports and Boy Scouts defiantly helped me develop character and life lessons that still apply today. Progressing into my teen years I was a little rough around the edges and got into some trouble but I eventually learned my lesson and grew out of it.
Today I am the youngest licensed insurance agent in the state of Pennsylvania (if not the country) holding my Property & Casualty and also my Life & Health Licenses. I am also a 10% profit-shareholder in two start up insurance related businesses. I have four positions across four companies with two of them being supervisor positions. I have successfully trained a student in getting his Property & Casualty License. I have also established an "Insurance Literacy Month" for the city of Connellsville. Me, my girlfriend (Chelsea Wolfe), and our dog (Mayla Ann) just got our first apartment with my own in home office. So how did I get here at the age of 21?
Well the how starts with Covid-19 funny enough! So during the covid quarantine after graduation I was searching for remote/work-from-home jobs. Applying on indeed, company websites, calling HR departments and so on. The first and only company to actually get back to me and take a chance on me was The National Association of Insurance Professionals (NAIP). So I jumped on the opportunity which was a 7 week training program to get your insurance license. I excelled through the program which normally transfers program graduates out to insurance companies, or brokerages in need of agents in the trainees area. That being said because of my success in the program the founder (Ronald Harden) offered me the opportunity to stay on as an employee of NAIP so I happily accepted becoming a Training & Community Outreach Coordinator. At my time at NAIP I crushed every task I was given whether it pertained to networking, marketing, logistics, compliance, etc. I was tasked with training a student through the training program which was successful. The NAIP was establishing "Insurance Literacy Month's" across the country as a way to grow notice of the program and help the public stay informed. So me being young and ambitious I decided Connellsville (my hometown) needed one and then I made it happen. This peaked the interest of the founder (Ronald Harden) who asked me to help with a project they've been working on.
Building an Insurance Brokerage and a Membership Program. Thats where OMNI Insurance Services, LLC and Insurance Buyers United enter the picture. So over the course of the last two years me and a business partner/ business consultant (Lafayette Crawford III) have single handedly built these two businesses while the founder (Ronald Harden) fostered relationships, networked, and established a home office and employees for the businesses. So starting with OMNI Insurance Services, LLC me and Lafayette built the website, automation, workflows, funnel pages, text and email campaigns, calendars, forms, brand, and image from square one we started with a logo and brick and mortar location and ended with a business. Collectively the three of us have established new and fruitful relationships with a wide array of carriers. I created all of OMNI's social media accounts and content. And now we have pivoted from the building phases to getting out in the community with OMNI. Transitioning to Insurance Buyers United (IBU) the story is basically parallel to OMNI's we took a logo and made it a functional business in the course of two years the only difference is rather than negotiating carrier relationships like OMNI with IBU it was perks, benefits, and discounts for our members. IBU's next step is also to start getting out there in the community. In this time, I also remodeled the NAIP website on my own. Through the long days and nights of building these companies with Lafayette and learning how to build a business another opportunity arrived.
The new opportunity Business Consulting. The experience I gained while building two businesses from nothing and improving a long-standing successful business didn't go unnoticed. Lafayette ( The owner of Crawford Business Consulting) offered me a "side project" if I was interested. Which was setting up another businesses CRM (customer relationship management, a system for managing all your company's interactions with current and potential customers). Big Ab Catering was my first official business consulting client, since then I've help Lafayette nurture relationships with affiliates and service providers. Now I also manage Crawford Business Consulting's social media and create and schedule their content.
Now I am your local representative of these four companies as two of them integrate into society and the other two offer services into a new area. That being said I look forward to seeing you all in the community as I do my best to shed more light upon these tried, tested, and trusted businesses and bringing them to our small town of Connellsville and all our surrounding cities.
